What we fix
The stuff you notice in the sun
Most of it sits in the top layer of clear coat. Polishing levels that layer so light reflects clean again. At your inspection we show you each of these on your own paint.
Swirls and spider webs
Fine circular scratches that show up in sunlight. Most come from automatic car washes and dirty towels.
Haze and dull paint
Paint that looks flat or cloudy instead of deep and glossy.
Water spots
Mineral marks left behind by hard water and sprinklers. Spots etched deep into the paint get better, but may not disappear completely.
Light scratches
Marks that have not gone through the clear coat. If your fingernail catches in it, polishing will soften it but not remove it.

Black paint shows every polish mark, so it takes more passes and a finer finishing polish. Dark colors are in between. That is why the price moves with the color.
Two-Step Correction
For heavier swirls and scratches, or paint you want near perfect.

Seal it before the salt
Freshly polished paint gets sealed
Polishing leaves bare, freshly leveled paint, and Minnesota salt season is coming. Every correction is sealed with a 1-year ceramic coating, free. If you want it to last years, you can upgrade to the 3- or 5-year at your inspection. A coating always goes on corrected paint - at least a one-step - because sealing swirls just locks them in, so we never put one over uncorrected paint.
The coating warranty covers a coating failing because of how we applied it. It does not cover rock chips, scratches or damage from brush car washes.

Is the inspection really free?
Yes. We wash your car, inspect the paint with you and give you an exact quote. You are under no obligation to book anything. Worst case, you drive off with a clean car.
How long does it take?
About 30 minutes. You wait in our heated shop while we wash it, then we look at the paint together.
Where is the shop?
In Blaine. We work by appointment, so we text you the address when you book.
One-step or two-step?
A one-step is one machine polish. It takes out light swirls, haze and water spots and brings back most of the gloss. A two-step adds a cutting pass first, for heavier swirls and scratches.
You do not have to decide. We tell you which one your paint needs at the inspection.
Will it remove every scratch?
No, and anyone who promises that is guessing. Polishing removes defects in the clear coat. Rock chips and scratches that go through the clear coat get softened, not erased. We point those out at the inspection so you know exactly what to expect.
Can I drive it home on salty roads?
Yes. It leaves sealed, which is the point: the seal takes the salt and grime instead of your freshly polished paint. Coated cars cure overnight in the shop before you pick them up.
What if I'm not happy with the work?
Tell us. We make it right for free, or you don't pay.
