Work 2–3 big days a week — not a 9-to-5. Climb to $20/hr.

GrandVista is a mobile car detailing crew in Lino Lakes. Instead of five so-so days, you work 2–3 long ones — 10+ hours — and take the rest of the week for yourself. The pay climbs a clear ladder: $15/hr while I train you, $17/hr on your own, up to $20/hr as you earn reviews and get faster. Add 15% commission on add-ons you sell and every tip you earn, and a good day is $200+ take-home. No experience needed.

The pay — a clear ladder to $20/hr

Here's exactly what you'll make and exactly how you make more. No games, no waiting a year for a review.

Training: averages about 2 weeks — faster if you pick it up quick — at $15/hr. Once you pass and you're detailing on your own, you start at $17/hr.

From there you climb a tier — +$0.50/hr — each time you hit both targets: 3 more 5-star reviews and a faster average time per detail (including drive time). $20/hr is the top. Every tier is posted right here — do the work and the raise is yours. Nobody can slow you down but you.

  • It's hourly pay — not a flat day rate. A good (long) day adds up to $200+ take-home before tips.
  • You keep all your tips. Our customers tip well, and the tips are yours on top of your hourly pay.
  • 15% commission on upsells. When you sell an add-on — odor removal, pet hair, ceramic wax, etc. — you earn 15% of the add-on price. It adds up fast on a good day.
  • Paid every two weeks.

The schedule — 2–3 big days, not a 9-to-5

This isn't a five-days-a-week grind. We stack the work into fewer, longer days — so the same week's pay fits into 2–3 days and the rest of your week is yours.

This is a seasonal job. We're busy spring through fall. Winter is slow, sometimes nothing. It's a great fit if you want good money in the warm months.
  • You pick the days you can work, and they're yours every week. Maybe you take Monday and Tuesday. Someone else takes Wednesday and Thursday. The first thing I'll ask is which days you can work.
  • The days are long: 10+ hours. Fewer days, bigger paychecks. A long day at $17–$20/hr adds up to $200+ take-home before tips.
  • Most of my crew works 2–3 days a week — not five. If a 9-to-5 is what you want, this isn't it.
  • Where: grab the van near Lino Lakes and drive to customers around the north metro.
  • Can't make a day? Just tell me. We'll work it out. I'm not strict about it.

This is the work

We clean cars inside and out, right in the customer's driveway.

What a day looks like

Grab the van

Pick up the loaded van near Lino Lakes. Drive to your first job.

Set up on-site

You work at the customer's home. You'll use their water and power, so set up clean and be respectful.

Do great work — solo

Inside, outside, or both. You'll do most jobs on your own. Aidan and I are a text away if you need us. Take your time and shoot before & after photos.

Wow the customer

The final walk-around earns the tip, the review, and the repeat. We also film for social, so be okay on camera.

Real talk before you apply

I'd rather be honest now than waste your time. Here's the real job:

  • It's physical, but not brutal. Lots of vacuuming, bending, and lifting light gear. You move all day.
  • You're outside all day. Hot at midday in summer. Cold in spring and fall. If you don't like being outside, skip this one.
  • The days are long — 10+ hours. This is the #1 reason it's not for everyone.
  • You work alone most of the day. It's you and the car. We're a text away if you need help.
  • We have a system, and you follow it. Do it our way and you'll do great.

👎 Not for you if…

  • you need year-round income
  • long days outside sound bad to you
  • you don't like following a system
  • you can't show up every day you commit to

👍 A great fit if…

  • you show up on time, every time
  • you're proud of turning a dirty car spotless
  • you like being outside and busy
  • you can follow steps and work on your own

Quick questions

Is this year-round work?

No. It's seasonal. We're busy spring through fall. Winter is slow, sometimes nothing. It's great if you want good money in the warm months. I'll always be straight with you about the schedule.

How do the days work?

This isn't a 9-to-5. You pick the days you can work, and they're yours every week. For example, you might be my Monday–Tuesday detailer. The first thing I'll ask is which days you can work. Most people work 2–3 long days a week — 10+ hours — and have the rest of the week free.

What will I actually make?

It's hourly pay with a clear ladder. $15/hr while I train you (about 2 weeks), then $17/hr once you're on your own. From there you climb $0.50 a tier — up to $20/hr — by earning 5-star reviews and getting faster per detail. Every tier is posted on this page, so you always know your next raise and how to get it. A good day adds up to about $200 take-home before tips, and you keep all your tips plus 15% commission on add-ons you sell. Paid every two weeks.

Do I need experience?

No. I'll train you myself over two weeks, paid. You'll need to pass it, but it's straightforward. Work hard and sweat the details and you'll be fine.

Is the work hard?

It's physical but not brutal. Lots of vacuuming, bending, and lifting light gear, outside all day. The long 10+ hour days are the biggest change for most people. You'll work most jobs on your own.

Do I need my own car?

You need a valid license, a clean driving record, and a way to get to our spot near Lino Lakes. That's where you pick up the van.

How long until I start?

About one to two weeks. You apply, book a quick video call with me, and we go from there.

What's the next step after I apply?

You'll book a quick video call with me (Joe) right after the application — pick any time that works for you.

Sound like a fit?

The application takes about two minutes. Then you'll pick a time for a quick video chat with me.
