What it's like — and what we expect
A straight look at how we run day to day. No surprises — if this sounds like you, we'd love to talk.
What we're about
Quality
Every vehicle should leave noticeably better than when it arrived.
Professionalism
Represent GrandVista with respect, reliability, and integrity every time.
Attention to detail
The small stuff is the job. Customers notice the difference.
Customer experience
Every customer should feel comfortable, respected, and confident in our work.
What we expect, day to day
- Show up on time and ready for every job
- Keep a professional, friendly attitude with customers
- Follow our detailing process and quality standards
- Treat customers' vehicles and property with real care
- Keep your equipment clean, organized, and put away
- Speak up — report any issue, accident, or damage to Joe right away
Looking sharp & professional
- Wear your GrandVista shirt/uniform on every job
- Clean pants or shorts; closed-toe shoes required
- Good personal hygiene
- No smoking, vaping, or tobacco around customer property or vehicles
- Keep it respectful — no profanity or inappropriate language
- No personal phone use while you're actively working a job
Taking care of the customer
- Greet the customer politely when you arrive
- Confirm the package and any add-ons before you start
- Answer questions honestly and accurately
- Never argue — if there's a dispute, bring it to Joe
- Don't discuss pricing disputes, internal matters, or other customers
- If a problem comes up mid-job, pause and check with Joe before continuing
Protecting customers' cars
People trust us with their vehicles. Here's how we honor that.
- Walk around and photograph any existing damage before you start
- Use only the approved tools and chemicals for each surface
- Avoid aggressive methods that could harm paint, trim, or interiors
- If anything happens, stop and tell Joe immediately — never hide it
Working safe
- Lift properly; wear gloves when handling chemicals
- Read chemical labels — never mix unless you're told to
- Watch for slick, wet surfaces
- Stay hydrated in the heat and take breaks when you need them
- Report any injury right away, no matter how minor
The schedule & showing up
- Long days — 10+ hours when you're on
- Usually 2 to 3 days a week
- Be on time and ready for every scheduled job
- Can't make a shift? Tell us as early as you can — at least 2 hours before start
- Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations won't work out
Your first two weeks
- Two weeks of paid training ($15/hr) where we teach you our full process and equipment
- It's straightforward — no detailing experience needed, and it's not meant to be intimidating
- You do have to pass it. Training is also how we confirm the job's a fit; if it's clearly not working out, we won't bring you on full-time
The pay
$15/hr during your 2-week training, then $17/hr once you're on your own (Tier 1). From there you climb a tier — +$0.50/hr — each time you hit both targets: 3 more 5-star reviews and a faster average time per detail (including drive time). $20/hr is the top.

- You keep 100% of your tips — and our customers tip well, so you'll usually clear more than your base hourly.
- Paid every two weeks.
Cameras & social
- You'll shoot before & after photos on every job
- We post our work and behind-the-scenes clips, so you should be comfortable being filmed and posted
- Never post customer info — or your own photos of customer vehicles — without the OK
